Jack Wong, President

When 16 years old, Jack Wong entered Peking University from where he has received a Bachelor, a Master and a PhD. Jack immigrated to Canada in 1997 after working 10 years in Beijing as a professor. Jack started international student service in Canada in 2005. Over the years he has helped over 1,000 international students, making their school and work experience in Canada much more smooth, enjoyable and successful.

 

Greg Bunyan, Senior Vice President

Greg Bunyan has Bachelor Degrees in Chemistry and Education and a Master of Public Administration. He has been an educator for 42 years, including as a teacher of senior Chemistry and Mathematics, Principal of Secondary Schools, Principal of the South Island Distance Education School, CEO of Online Learning Canada and Principal of the Saanich International Student Program. He also is a Professor of Education at the University of Victoria and has completed many contracts with the Government of British Columbia and School District 63 (Saanich). He has one daughter who graduated Princeton University and has a Bachelor Degree in Biology and French.

Victoria Wong, Vice President

Victoria Wong was born into a family of educators. Her parents and grandparents were all teachers. Victoria has Bachelor Degrees in Engineering and Business Administration. She has travelled to more than 70 countries before she settled in Canada in 1998. Victoria gave birth to three children in Vancouver and Victoria. She knows the Canadian Education system and is a keen supporter of Parent Education and student empowerment. Being a certified instructor in meditation, Victoria is also a dedicated volunteer in the school community and meditation society. Her practice of Loving Kindness and oneness of the world leads her to believe all students are no different from her own children, and therefore should be loved and guided just as same.

Pinder Cheema, Legal Advisor

Pinder K. Cheema, QC, was called to the Bar of British Columbia since 1984. She has practiced continually since that date, as both a Crown counsel and private practitioner. She serves private clients in English and French. She is involved with the legal community, as an elected Bencher to the Law Society of BC, representing Victoria County. She also serves as a Vice Chair of the Mental Health Review Board.

 

May Xie, Immigration Councilor

May Xie is a Certified Canadian Immigration Councilor. She has a Bachelor Degree in Education. May has been working extensively in all areas of Canadian immigration including study permits, visitor visas and Permanent Residency since 2012. May was a teacher for 12 years and is an immigrant herself.May has a good understanding of international education. Over the years she has helped many students from China, Japan, Korea, Germany, Austria and Brazil.

Rowana Wu, Senior Student Advisor


Rowana Wu immigrated to Canada in 1988. She has two daughters born in Vancouver. Her first daughter graduated University of McGill and has Bachelor Degree in Life Science. Her second daughter did a talent program in Vancouver School Board and entered the University of British Columbia at age of 16. Rowana is a loving mother and experienced student advisor willing to help each student achieve his or her goals.
